Medical Assistant and Tutor Anthony Curione
Anthony Curione began working as an emergency medical assistant at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, New York, in 2022. His responsibilities in this role range from collaborating with health care professionals to administering direct medical care to patients in critical condition. He also spends time as a general volunteer at both Ogden Medical Center and Milliard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. In addition, Anthony Curione served as a volunteer firefighter with the Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Department between 2021 and 2022.
A math and science tutor with Upchieve Tutoring since 2020, Mr. Curione studied biochemistry at the University at Buffalo in Amherst. He received an Otto Hauenstein Memorial Scholarship in recognition of outstanding academic performance. He also made numerous poster presentations, including presentations at Biochemistry Research Day and the 2024 SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference, while working as a resident advisor responsible for more than 100 residents. In addition, he founded and led the university’s first skateboard club, which grew to approximately 70 members in just 3 years.
